SLOTCAR CAM: 1961 MONZA – Riggan group 12 Three FAST LAPS

this was just an experiment, i have a 2.7ghz wireless color cctv cam i bought for my R/C helicopter, i put it inside a Riggan 1/24th slotcar with a proslot group 12 39deg timed balanced motor with gold dust brushes and ran it through my 30ft x 18ft speed track at 4amps i just wanted to see how it looked.

the camera fit in the cockpit but the 9v battery was too heavy and the jack it pluged into the camera was hanging off to one side of the body, didnt have the room inside the car so the weight was all on the ass. I was saying that the 9v battery is pushing the body down and it was making the wheel wells touch the tunas and the cars isn’t going to go as fast as it should cause i didnt want to wreck it, the layout is monza with only one 52″ 25 deg radius bank,(thats 6 big 1/24th curved to make a 90degree curve) but running in the opposite direction the real cars would lap the real monza circuit. a better version is coming. All 1965 1/24 Strombecker track 30ft main straight

it takes almose a minuite till you see this video play, i had to set up the recorder in the house and walk out to the garage. the car is a mclaren MD8 on a 16 pin 1975 riggan chassis
i only transferred it from digital camera off the tv as i’m still awaiting for the video card to hook up the cam to my computer. video is rough, but its insane!

coming soon is a group 7 wingcar with a webcam on it , flying around my redesigned layout at 8amps
