RFID/NFC material comparison – Crytpalloy

An RFID/NFC protection material should prevent that data from cards that are equipped with an RFID/NFC chip can be read via radio.

When you hear the audio signal (“beep”) and the appearance of the serial number on the display, originates contact between RFID/NFC reader and RFID/NFC card. The data from the RFID/NFC card will be read.

Cryptalloy® was tested by:
SGS/TÜV Saarland Forster GmbH
Professor Pauli / University of the Bundeswehr
Federal Office of Communications Switzerland
Seibersdorf Laboratories Austria
The outstanding and extremely good shielding attenuation capabilities (RFID-/NFC-protecting) of Cryptalloy® on all commercial frequencies (20 kHz – 4 GHz), was explicitly highlighted by Professor Pauli.
Significant is the protection ability on the frequency 125kHz. When this frequency has excellent shielding attenuation, so maximum protection is provided on all common RFID frequencies.

In this video the following test setup and equipment was used:

Reader RFID Quickreader
Antenna: MR50A, integriert
Frequency: 125kHz
Tag: EM4100, ISO-Karte
Issue: Arduino ATMEL Microprocessor mit LCD-Display
Software / Firmware: V1.1
