“Update: Just managed to fix it without replacement! What seems to have happened is that the white shell around the cirquit boards had expanded because of heat. (It does heat up like all hell) So the connector wasn’t in place properly because it’s supposed to be pushed down by the shell. (hence it has a little protective/gripping piece of foam on the shell where the connector is) So I stuck a couple of layers of duct tape to the connector, making it slightly thicker, thus maintaining a better contact. I’ve only just done this but it seems to have worked. I can now use my phone after 2 days of it not being able to see my card at all. Will keep updates going, many people seem to have this issue and if this is a working (if not slightly temporary) fix, i’d be glad to have helped those people out if this fix gets out there.”
