Coffee loyalty cards, like loyalty cards in general are usually a very good idea to include in your cafe oriented business. Times are competitive and almost everyone wants to get a freebie where they can – even (or maybe particularly) millionaires!

Sometimes people pick where they go based on quality – they think the coffee’s better at cafe A rather than at cafe B, on the other hand, if those cafes had equal quality coffee, which would you pick – the one with every 6th coffee free or the one without? As long as you’re up to scratch in other basic ways, coffee loyalty

cards will increase your revenue – and not on coffee alone.

When someone comes to you to get that freebie, chances are on many occasions they’ll buy something else. Also, word of mouth works in your favor. In the past friends of mine have said “let’s go to so and so’s –

I’ve got a free clip.” Also, if you let them, people can combine their clips onto one card to get the freebie. Another point is that, from time to time, in mixed group situations to “get to” the free clip, people may actually order an extra coffee or two.

Always remember – one of the great principles of successful business is to give where you can; the more you can offer in the way of free value, people will pay you back manyfold for the experience. Do your sums right and give them the best deal you can always – that way you get more deals!
