Android NFC reader for mobile attendance tracking with Samsung Nexus S

Are you looking for an easy to use, mobile attendance monitor using just your mobile phone to read attendance RFID badges?

This video shows how easy it is to use the Grid-in-Hand™ Mobile Grid application running on a Samsung Nexus S with a built in RFID reader/scanner to read these attendance badges with RFID tags embedded.

Launch Mobile Grid application; hold attendance badges to the back of the phone and the data’s posted into the Mobile Grid. You’ll also notice that these NFC RFID badges are being read through the protective cover on the Nexus S. When all the attendees are entered, tap menu – upload. It’s that easy to have a list of attendees emailed anywhere as an Excel file and even posted into a SQL database.

The other feature of the Mobile Grid app, is can Attendee Check-in. Update your roster, it will tell you about the format change on the Mobile Grid, and you start checking people into your event. If somebody should try to check into the event twice, the system will let you know. If somebody whose not on the roster tries to check in, it’ll also tell you that.

Once you have the attendees, you can upload them anywhere on the internet. Simultaneous use of NFC (aka RFID) reading and barcode reading can be done simultaneously using the Scanfob 2002 wireless Bluetooth barcode scanner at the same time that you’re scanning RFID tags.
